Web design AND Advertising

IE6 is a massive pain in the backside to develop for. What is the general concencus for a good time to stop developing for it?

not necessarily free, but reasonable for someone with an anti-war non-profit site as a passion, not a full time job.

i’m planning to take graphic design course or advertising design course…so does anyone of you know what school in the philippines offers graphic design course??

I just graduated with a BA degree in business administration. I am planning to work full time and get a certificate in graphic design. I live in Los Angeles and thinking about going to UCLA or Santa Monica College to get the certificate.
So, does it matter where did I get my graphic design certificate when I look for a job in graphic design industry in the future?
If so, which college or university do you recommend?

i am a small home business and looking for business in creating logo design, problem is all established businesses already have a logo design…how do i find new businesses that don’t already have logo design? is there a register that contains this info and is accessable? all help very appreciated!

i am a bit of a designer and i have already tried i web but i am looking for a web design software that would allow me to create a lot more complex designs. is there a software for mac that i can use that would be easy for me as a beginner but having the same advantages as macromedia dreamweaver? would really appreciate your help. as i don’t want to rely on my web designer anymore, who is not giving me the kind of creativity i need for my web’s look and feel. thanks so much!

How should I do it also? Should I make somewhat of what I want it to look like on a another program, and should I also describe it in writing? If any of you have ever had another business create a website for you, what did they need from you?

I have started freelancing and I have no idea what to charge. I do know I want to charge a flat rate, but I don’t want to figure it out by how long it will tkae me, as I sometimes take a longer time to design something. I just want to know what a fair rate would be to create a logo and then using the logo, create letterhead, business cards, etc.

Because the browser doesn’t handle links the same way on the computer as it does on the web ( “/” as opposed to “\” and directory relative urls), I have to upload everything in order to test it or I have to change all my links after I finish testing in order to upload the site. What environment do you test in that will make this process easier?

I’m not sure if I should major in graphic arts or graphic design. What can you do for a career in graphic arts and graphic design? What are the similarities and differences between these two?
